2-stroke premix calculator: petrol and oil
Enter litres of petrol before adding oil, then the number of petrol parts per one part of oil. For an oil:petrol ratio of 1:50, enter 50. Check the required ratio in your engine manual first.
Download rideXCalculate the oil quantity
Use a decimal point or comma. Example numbers are placeholders, not recommended settings.
The formula
Oil in millilitres = litres of petrol × 1000 ÷ petrol parts. For example, 5 litres at an oil:petrol ratio of 1:50 gives 100 ml. This is an arithmetic example, not a recommended ratio for your motorcycle.
Petrol volume is not finished mixture volume
Enter the petrol measured before oil is added, not a target volume of finished mixture. Use a suitable measuring container and the preparation procedure specified for the engine and product.
Choose the ratio from the manual
There is no universal ratio for every two-stroke engine. Check the model, year, oil specification and lubrication system. Do not assume that an engine with separate oil metering needs premix added to the fuel.
Keep useful service records
Record product references and the documentation you used. Keep completed maintenance separate from planned work. The calculator does not select an oil or diagnose the lubrication system.
| Oil : petrol | Petrol | Oil |
